Greetings! Earlier this year I was accepted at MICA (Maryland Institute of Contemporary Art) graduate school Leroy Hoffberger School of Painting. I will be studying the relationship between painting and writing. As you may know, it’s been a goal of mine for a long time to contribute academic resources around Black culture through the lense of art critique and this degree program will help support that as well as grow my personal work and practice. This is very special to me because I am a self taught artist so the chance to get a masters from one of the top painting schools in the country is incredible,.
I’ve received several scholarships and only have a bit left to cover. I’d like to ask the community for help by purchasing a limited edition full color catalogue of my series The Many Rooms. The catalogue features essays, poems, recipes and links to behind the scenes videos of the creation of the 30 plus pieces from March 2020 to March 2022. The catalogue is signed and numbered with a unique certificate of authenticity included. Each catalogue is $500.
